    Warning Signs

    Signs Your Inverter Needs Replacing

Not every inverter issue means a full replacement. But when these signs stick around, it's usually cheaper to replace than to keep repairing.

    Frequent Error Codes

Your inverter regularly displays fault codes that come back even after resets or service visits

    Declining Output

Production has dropped steadily over time and cleaning or panel repairs haven't helped

    Age and Wear

String inverters usually last 10 to 15 years. If yours is in that range, getting ahead of replacement makes sense

    Physical Damage

Visible signs of wear like corrosion, discoloration, buzzing sounds, or a hot casing

    Our Process

    How Inverter Replacement Works

    1

    System Assessment

We inspect your current inverter, review its error history, and figure out whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

    2

    Recommendation and Quote

You get a clear recommendation with pricing. We walk you through the options, including whether a different inverter type may work better for your setup.

    3

    Professional Installation

Our certified technicians remove the old inverter and install the replacement, with all wiring and connections to code.

    4

    System Testing

We power the system back on and confirm everything's producing correctly before we leave.

    5

    Documentation

You get updated warranty information and any paperwork needed for manufacturer registration or utility notification.

    String vs. Microinverters

String inverters handle the output from all panels in a single unit, usually mounted near your electrical panel. They are less expensive but if they fail, your whole system goes down.

Microinverters are installed on each individual panel. If one fails, only that panel is affected. They tend to have longer warranties, typically 25 years.

When replacing an inverter, this is a good time to evaluate whether switching types makes sense for your situation. We can walk you through the trade-offs.
