As of January 1, 2026, the 30% residential federal credit (Section 25D) is gone. The $0-down PPA path stays viable because the federal credit still flows to the third-party system owner under Section 48E. Those savings get passed through to homeowners as a fixed rate designed to be lower than your utility bill. No upfront cost, no loan.
