# Solar Monitoring Troubleshooting

If your solar monitoring app isn't showing production data, the panels are usually still working, the monitoring gateway just lost contact with the cloud. Here's how to triage.

## Common monitoring issues

- **App shows "system offline"**, the gateway or cellular module lost connection.
- **Missing or stale production data**, production is happening but data isn't being uploaded.
- **Wi-Fi disconnects after a router change**, the gateway needs to be re-paired with your new network.
- **Gateway shows red or amber LED**, connection error or hardware fault.

## Things you can try

1. **Check your home Wi-Fi**, confirm your router is online. Restart it if needed.
2. **Power-cycle the gateway**, unplug the monitoring gateway/communication module for 30 seconds, then plug back in.
3. **Verify the cellular signal**, for cellular gateways, signal can drop temporarily; check the indicator LEDs.
4. **Re-pair after Wi-Fi changes**, if you changed routers or Wi-Fi passwords, the gateway needs to be reconfigured.

## When to contact us

- Power-cycling didn't restore the connection within an hour
- The gateway shows a fault LED that doesn't clear
- Production was missing for days/weeks before you noticed
- You can't access your monitoring portal at all (account/login issue)
